It is easier when my students want to learn English. When they want to learn English then they try harder and study more. I do not remember the exact details, but I remember that video clip explained how we can save the environment. That was from a website called GVTV with this address: http://gvtv.ca <BR/>She assigned us to find particular video which she found very helpful.Then, we all find it when we were at home and watched it many many times. Next, we had to fill the blank sentences with the words we heard in the clip.<BR/>It was really helpful because I could be familiar with the native accent. what we learn in class and also listen is really clear English which is different from people's English on streets. It is far more effective when students talk about something they are interested in. The population that I am teaching have been in the US for 1 year or less. Half of my studnets came to the US within the last 3 months. So for my purposes I try to teach them common things that they can build upon. After students have a decent vocabulary, I think that speaking instruction should be based around the interests of the students.
